Steve May has spent his career fighting for what’s right — in uniform, in public office, and now, for veterans who are stuck in government gridlock.
An Army officer turned state legislator, Steve knows firsthand how bureaucracy can fail veterans at the moments they need help the most. He built Proven Valor so veterans will have access to the benefits they earned without delays.
In the 1990s, Steve served as a Nuclear, Biological, and Chemical Defense Officer in the First Infantry Division. He later served in the Arizona House of Representatives, where he chaired the House Ways and Means Committee.
In 2011 Steve was asked by the Obama administration to reimagine how the Department of Veterans Affairs could better serve neglected veteran populations. It was on this assignment that Steve discovered that veterans would be better served by client centered advocates who do not work for the government.

When Michael teamed up with Steve to launch Proven Valor, their shared mission was clear: create systems that actually work for veterans.
Michael is a seasoned tech entrepreneur with a deep track record in secure data infrastructure and operational efficiency.
As CEO of ImportGenius, he built one of the most relied-upon research tools in global trade, serving thousands of clients worldwide.
Now, he’s bringing that same precision and infrastructure to serve those who served — building systems that veterans can actually count on.
We created Proven Valor to solve a problem we saw over and over again: veterans trying to access the benefits they’d earned but getting stuck without fast, verified proof of service.

Always have proof of service on hand.
No waiting, no delays, no hassle.
